Ladies and gentlemen, let me just exclaim that "God is GOOD!". You would not believe what He revealed to me this morning as I spoke with my counselor on-campus... We were discussing purpose and almost out of the blue, God broke MINE down with three simple "E's"... God's purpose for Jamele Roosevelt Little is to: 1) Equip 2) Educate 3) Encourage. Now, I'm sure exactly what each of these look like yet, but I have somewhat of an idea. I always thought it would be something complicated!!! Let me allow you to view the e-mail I sent to Ronnie Morris, who is our worship leader at CrossPoint Church:
Hey Ronnie,
I can certainly appreciate your encouragement with this e-mail, which also reminds us to not forget to be our brother’s keeper. I love you guys to death and don’t want to see any of us be lost!
Have you ever had that “ah ha” moment with God where He reveals something to you almost on the spot? Well, God and I have been conversing about PURPOSE. Some people will agree that it’s especially frustrating when you walk around in life not knowing what your specific purpose for being here is. We all are collectively here to glorify God, but everyone has a unique thing that God has divinely designed for them to do.
As I was talking to my counselor just a few minutes ago, God broke this thing down for me in such a simple way (and I thought it was going to be something complicated!). God revealed to me the three E’s for why He placed me, Jamele Roosevelt Little, on this earth:
1) Equip
2) Educate
3) Encourage
Now, I could go on at length about what those look like for me, but He hadn’t quite finished speaking with me yet. You were the first person that came to mind and I couldn’t keep it to myself and had to tell somebody!
Dude, it’s amazing what a season of singleness can do for your walk with God. God’s plan for us transcends our wants and desires for a significant other, and as much as we’d like to be dating, engaged, or married, God wants us to take full advantage of the time He gives us where you can have uninterrupted communion with him. It’s INCREDIBLE!
