Random Blog (letting the creative juices flow...)

I'm multitasking at the moment (taking online surveys, washing clothes, watching "True Life" on MTV, and waiting for my work shift to start). I thought I'd hope on here and let my thoughts flow for a while...

My Spring semester here at Clemson is finished and now I am just waiting for my exam and final grades. I've already locked in two A's (one in my research lab-YES!-and the other in Senior Seminar). I also pulled off a B in one of the more difficult courses I took this semester, Pathogenic Bacteriology. I made one of the highest grades on the final exam, but my midterm grade ruined my chances of getting an A. Still waiting on two more final grades so that my personal "Road to Redemption" (of my GPA, that is) will be complete. I'm really excited about how God has allowed me to make a turnaround since my illness almost two years ago and achieve the level of success that I have, all while working a fun job for a wonderful employer and doing the things that I enjoy the most. It's incredible the way that works out...

The summer is full of fun-filled plans as well. There's the shadowing with Dr. Vance Pirkle, who is an OB-GYN who practices right down the street in Seneca. I'll go to the office for the first time on Monday the 4th. In addition, my three year stint with the Bridge Program will end in a week :( It's been a rewarding experience and I hate that I will not be here another full year to continue with the program, but I have established a legacy here that will remain after I leave. To date, I am the only RA that has worked in the program for three consecutive years and I also was one of the "founding fathers" and was part of the original group of RAs when the program started...I consider that pretty significant- maybe you do, maybe you don't...

I'll be working this summer as well (when am I NOT working? hehe). Of course, my job requirements are at a bare minimum and I will be at a desk for a few hours a day, answering phone calls if made, playing daytime security, and when none of that is going on, doing my HOMEWORK for summer school classes! Somebody please get me out of Organic Chemistry! Oh well...it's going to be a delightful ride nonetheless!

So, there's the gameplan in a nutshell. Oh yeah, I cannot forget the great opportunity to interview with the Director of Admissions at MUSC on May 11th at 11! MUSC has ALWAYS been my top choice for Medical School and I am honored to have this meeting with Ms. Wanda Taylor. As busy as I'm sure she is, I consider it an honor and a privilege to even be considered for a meeting!

That's all for the moment. I'm going back to my multitasking now...
